Fall 2012 marked the debut of SHAE and SHAE Cashmere—two contemporary collections that redefine the concept of knit dressing. The impressive history of these brands goes back to the early 1980s in Hong Kong. There, the Hui family opened a trading and sweater manufacturing company along with a retail shop in which they sold their merchandise. Quickly distinguished for their expertise in developing and producing sweaters, the family became and continues to be a top industry supplier.
Now, 25 years later, the Huis are building upon their success by applying their unmatched knitwear capabilities and vision to their new US lines.
In a single season, SHAE and SHAE Cashmere is receiving rave reviews from the fashion press. Pieces from the lines have been featured in Elle, InStyle, Glamour, People Style Watch, and Redbook. In particular, editors are embracing the collections’ vibrant colors, forward-‐thinking silhouettes, and unique yarns and weaves. They are also responding enthusiastically to the concept of total knit dressing—sweaters made to layer and mix in endless combinations.
A passion for innovation and inspired design are the hallmarks of SHAE and SHAE Cashmere that have already cast these emerging brands as ones to watch.
